Acquittal for Driving while Prohibited
Mr. Armour's client was charged with Driving While Prohibited and was facing a sure one-year driving prohibition off the road if he was convicted. The Crown thought their case was a slam dunk, but by the end of the trial, the Judge found the case had not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt and acquitted the defendant.
While Driving While Prohibited charges are notoriously tricky to beat, it just goes to show that sometimes there can be a defence even when things look grim.
